The Waterloo Bucks bounce back from last night’s loss to take game one of a double-header 13-6.

Waterloo scored first on a Patrick Ferguson solo homer to right to go up 1-0 in the top of the first. Willmar answered with a three-spot in the bottom half helped by a Kyle Manzardo two-run homer. Bucks first baseman Peyton Williams launched a two-run home run himself over the wall in center to tie the game at three in the top of the second.

Willmar took the lead with a pair of runs in the fourth, but the Bucks had a lot more in the tank. Waterloo would pile on ten runs over the fifth, sixth, and seventh to use en route to a 13-6 win.

Beau Balado picked up the win for Waterloo with three innings and one earned run. Kyle Scott took the loss for the stingers with his three-run fifth inning.

Game two starts at 7:05 from Bill Taunton Stadium.
