The Waterloo Bucks cruise to a 6-0 home victory over the Rochester Honkers.

Waterloo scored early with an RBI fielder’s choice from Patrick Ferguson. That would prove to be the only run they needed. The Bucks added three in the fourth on RBI knocks from Levi Usher and Drew Bianco plus a sac fly from Xane Washington.

Two more runs would score in the sixth with help from a wild pitch and an RBI double from Xane Washington. Dusty Schramm picked up the win with 6.2 scoreless innings with five hits and two walks with a season-high seven strikeouts.

Sal Ferro took the loss for Rochester with four innings and four earned runs. With this win, the Bucks take sole possession of first place in the Minnesota-Iowa pod at 15-8.

The Bucks and Honkers will square off tomorrow night in Rochester with first pitch coming at 6:35 p.m.
