This week we are catching up with former Waterloo Bucks outfielder Travis Meiners.  The Texas Rangers drafted the Eyota, Minnesota native in the 40th round of the 2010 Amateur draft, Meiners was also selected in the 29th round back in 2008 by the Arizona Diamondbacks. 

This past season Meiners spent his time with the AZL Rangers of the Rookie League, in the 2010 season Meiners saw a lot of his time in right field.  While a part of the Rangers Travis played in 38 games collecting a batting average of .279 while hitting 5 doubles, 3 home runs and driving in 15 RBIs.  In the field Travis showed his skills having a .998 fielding percent while collecting 72 putouts and 14 outfield assists.

Meiners played for Waterloo in 2007 where he played in 10 games, during his time with the Bucks Travis had a batting average of .231, hitting 1 double and driving in 4 runs.
