Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (3–3) entered the bottom of the ninth down two runs, but scored three in the frame to secure a walk-off win over the Border Cats (2–4).

The Bucks started the bottom of ninth by loading the bases with three consecutive walks. Then, infielder Andrew Fish hit a sacrifice fly to bring one run in while outfielder Blake Burris hit an RBI-single to tie the game up. Finally, infielder Brodie Kresser knocked in the game-winning run with a lined single into center field.

Infielder Greg Nichols led the Bucks for the evening offensively, going 2-for-4 with 3-RBIs on a double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Outfielder Cole Hill also had big night for the Bucks, getting on base three times with two infield hits and a hit by pitch while scoring on each of his trip around the base paths. Hill finished the series against the Border Cats with six runs scored and three RBIs across two games.

Seth White, the Bucks’ opening day starter, pitched well through six innings, only giving up two runs.

The Bucks are now back to .500 after losing their first three games of the season. Their next series will be on the road against the Eau Claire Express (3–3) with the first game being scheduled for a 2:05 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
