Duluth, MN – The Waterloo Bucks (9–16) claimed their first win over the Duluth Huskies (13–10) on Thursday night, 8–6.

The Huskies only had three hits all night, but what kept them in the game was the 12 walks and three hit-by-pitches the Bucks’ pitching gave. Luckily, reliever Sam Skarich came up huge for the Bucks, keeping the bases. clear of Huskies through the final two innings of the game.

Outfielder Michael Lippe led the way for the Bucks at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of triples and four RBIs on the evening. Marcus Heusohn also came up big for the Bucks, continuing his torrid stretch with a pair of base knocks.

The Bucks will aim for the sweep tomorrow as they play the Huskies again for their fourth matchup of the year on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
