Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that Freddy Villalobos has been named the Young Plumbing & Heating Bucks Player of the Week. This is the first time he has received the honor this season. Villalobos is a Maracaibo, Venezuela native and is currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University.

Over this last week, Villalobos hit .310 (9-29) with two home runs, five RBI and seven runs scored. He also had two doubles and put up a slugging percentage of .586. Freddy’s OBP in that span was .333 as well as a .920 OPS.

The Bucks will wrap up a series against the Stingers today in Willmar before starting a three game series at home against the St. Cloud Rox. First pitch Monday is set for 7:05 while all three against the Rox are slated to start at 6:35 p.m.
