Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks take game two against the Rochester Honkers in a gritty Father’s Day victory with a score of 6-2.

This victory was the shortest game overall on the season and much of that was thanks to the incredible start from right-hander, Aidan Elfering. Elfering went 6.1 IP while collecting seven strikeouts to his tally. Then right-handers Ethan Alexander and Chaney Trout finished out the final 2.2 IP.

The offense started the scoring in the bottom of the first when outfielder Ben Wilmes scored on a fielder’s choice from first baseman Marcus Heusohn. The Bucks bats would do the same thing in the fourth with another run coming from a sacrifice fly from catcher Matt Martinez.

The big inning for the offense was the bottom of the seventh when four runs came across with half coming off the bat of outfielder Larry Edwards Jr on his wall running double.

The Bucks are back in action on Tuesday in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada in the first game of a six-game road trip.
