Rochester, MN – The Bucks traveled to Rochester to face off against their Great Plains East rivals the Honkers, and lost a hard-fought game number one by a score of 9-5.

The Bucks scored their first four runs in the top of the fourth inning. There was only one hit in the inning, but it was all the Bucks needed as they ground through at-bats to work walks, steal bases, and be aggressive in the face of Rochester’s pitching.

The fifth run for the Bucks came at the top of the eighth inning with a few runners on as Chase Beattie hit an RBI single through the four-hole to take back the lead.

Rochester came back in the bottom half of the inning and proceeded to put on five runs of their own and they stayed in the lead for the final three outs.

Game Two at Mayo Field occurs tomorrow, July 13th, at 6:35 PM.
