Waterloo, IA – The Bucks cruised early behind Shae Buskhol’s six innings of dominant starting pitching, then Colin Coonradt delivered a clutch three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to break a 1-1 tie as Waterloo completed the sweep of Minnesota in a 4-1 victory.

Shae Buskhol was cruising from the very beginning on Sunday afternoon. The Bucks right-hander hurled six innings of scoreless baseball and gave up just two hits and allowed just four baserunners.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Waterloo jumped ahead. Mitchell Iliff lifted a solo home run to right to leap the Buck ahead 1-0.

In the top of the eighth, the Mud Puppies evened things up. Owen Strey led off with a double, then scored on a Beau Thoma two-out RBI single to make it a brand new ballgame, 1-1.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Bucks came back determined. Bubby Dosztan-Campbell and Tayvon Homolar both worked walks to bring up Colin Coonradt. With one out, Coonradt blasted a no-doubt three-run home run to right to catapult Waterloo to a 4-1 lead.

In the top of the ninth, Tyler Glowacki struck out two Mud Puppies and got the last man he faced to fly out en route to his first save of the year in a 4-1 Bucks win as they swept the Mud Puppies.

With the win, Waterloo goes to 9-9 on the season and 3-1 on the homestand. The last game of the five game set at Riverfront Stadium is scheduled for Monday night at 6:35 pm. The Bucks welcome in the Rochester Honkers for a one game home-and-home. Both starters are TBD.
