As we close the book on an eventful 2026 season, I’m appreciative of your continued support of Waterloo Bucks Baseball. We had, what I believe, was the best promotional schedule in team history. Attendance increased by 195 per game and we’re already planning our 2027 promotional schedule and theme nights to raise the bar even further.
This season also celebrated a coaching legend, Field Manager Darrell Handelsman. On July 25th, the Bucks defeated the Rochester Honkers, earning Skip his franchise record 300th win as Waterloo’s Field Manager. On August 3rd in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Handelsman garnered his 900th summer-collegiate victory in a Bucks win over the Bord
er Cats. His devotion and enthusiasm for the game continue to inspire players and fans in the Cedar Valley.
A thank you goes out to our resolute full-time and seasonal staff along with our interns who fueled many of the behind-the-scenes efforts and made each day coming to work a pleasure. Another thank you goes out to our crucial Host Families who opened their homes to our players. To each family who provided laundry, meals, and a sense of belonging, you are the heart of Waterloo Bucks Baseball!
And THANK YOU FANS for making 2026 a season of memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you’re a Season Ticket Holder, a Flex Plan Holder, a Kids Club Member, a Group Outing Leader, or just came to a few games, baseball in the Cedar Valley would not exist without your support. I can’t wait to see you back at Riverfront Stadium next summer!
Sincerely,
Dan Corbin
