Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks have announced that Riverfront Stadium will play host to the 2016 NJCAA Region XI Division II Baseball Tournament May 12th through the 16th. Eight teams from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference will play in the five-day, 15-game event.
The opening game of the tournament is set to begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 12, followed by three more games that day. Four games are scheduled to be played on both Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, while two games are set to be played on Sunday, May 15. The tournament championship will be played at 7:00 pm on Sunday, or at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 16, if a double-elimination game is required.

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) was founded in 1996, and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). They are the governing body of 16 member schools in Iowa and 22 men's and women's sports held in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The Bucks play at Riverfront Stadium where the team will welcome a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. Team ownership has invested more than $170,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, and concessions equipment.
