THUNDER BAY, ON- The Waterloo Bucks (19-7) won their third straight game after defeating the Thunder Bay Border Cats (9-18) 6-1 on Sunday, June 25. The Bucks widen their Northwoods League North Division lead to 1.5 games.

The Bucks scored first again on an RBI sacrifice fly by Drew Greenwood in the top of the fourth and Cole McDevitt followed it up by driving in a run on a flare down the right field line.

Tyler Stover made it 3-0 Bucks in the top of the fifth on an RBI single. Thunder Bay answered in the bottom of the sxith to make the game competetive on an error but the Bucks worked out of several jams. Kade Kryzsko (0-2) wasn't as lucky even though he pitched well he didn't have the run support. Anthony Ruden (2-0) for Waterloo pitched six innings only allowing four hits and struck out six batters.

Stover wasn't done yet and cranked out a solo homer to left in the top of the eighth to answer the lone Border Cat run of the ball game.

Zach Malis belted his fourth homer of the season on a two-run blast to right field putting the game out of reach 6-1.

Waterloo wraps up the four game road swing tomorrow, June 26 at Thunder Bay at 7:05 p.m. (ET).
