WATERLOO, IOWA- The Rochester Honkers (20-21) scored seven runs in the final three innings to put away the Waterloo Bucks (27-15) 12-4.

Both starting pitchers, Zachary Patterson (1-4) for the Bucks and Chia-Cing Ho (1-1) for the Honkers got off to great starts on the mound. Rochester struck first on an RBI sacrifice fly by Ethan Ibarra in the top of the third inning. Patterson walked in a run in the top of the fourth and Michael Michalak delivered an RBI sac-fly to left making it 3-0 Honkers after three innings.

The Bucks answered in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single from Tyler Stover and an RBI sac-fly to center by Zach Malis trimming the Honker advantage to just a run.

Michael Echavia countered in the top of the sixth inning with a two run homer over the right field fence. Three more runs came across for Rochester in the top of the seventh on one of Waterloo's three errors, a fielder's choice and RBI single by Ibarra.

Trailing 8-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Bucks showed some life on a pair of RBI doubles by Charlie Concannon and Zach Malis.

Rochester put the game out of reach against Waterloo reliever Nathan Walker with a four spot in the top of the ninth.

The Bucks head out on a three-game road swing starting with a two-game series at Carson Park against the Eau Claire Express tomorrow, July 11 at 6:35 p.m.
