The Waterloo Bucks are pleased to announce that the 2021 season will begin on Monday, May 31. The first Waterloo Bucks home game of 2021 will be Thursday, June 3rd. The City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County Public Health, the Northwoods League, and the Waterloo Bucks will be working together to ensure that all fans, employees, players, and coaches experience Bucks Baseball safely in 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic is ever-evolving.  Here are a few key things fans have been asking that we do have the answers to:

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have been meeting regularly to discuss the cleaning process and what needs to be prioritized during these times.

This season, we will be extending staff training to include the proper instruction to exceed the standards set by Public Health and make sure our standards are clear and met every single day. All of our employees will be wearing face masks and sanitizing regularly.

After multiple discussions with the City of Waterloo, we’d like to announce our seating plan to start the 2021 Bucks season.  The health and safety of Bucks fans, players, coaches, our staff, and the community we call home is our top priority.  We have created the following strategy that we will update as guidelines are adjusted by our government officials.  Guidelines may become more relaxed or more restricted based on future social distancing guidance.

  • All Reserved Seat & Box Seat Sections will be in pods with approximately 3-foot distancing around them.
    • Season Ticket Holders are allowed to sit in their Reserved or Box Seats.
    • Each Season Ticket Holder or Season Ticket Holder Group will have a space buffer of at least 1 seat to the left, 1 seat to the right, 1 row in front, & 1 row in back surrounding them.
    • Any Season Ticket Holder/Group who has another Season Ticket Holder/Group placed in that buffer space will be contacted and asked to approve each other & accept them in their Season Ticket Pod.
    • After Season Ticket Holders are taken care of, seating for all other fans will be addressed:
      • All other seats in the ballpark will be laid out in 2-6 seat pods, with a space buffer of at least 1 seat to the left, 1 seat to the right, 1 row in front, & 1 row in back surrounding them.  If groups/individuals larger than a 6-seat pod request more tickets & want to sit together, the Bucks can assist & create larger pods.
    • All Group Outing Areas are considered their own pods.
    • Bucks will follow further direction from the City of Waterloo as the season progresses.
  • Masks
    • Per City policy, masks covering both your nose and mouth must be worn in all areas of the ballpark, unless eating &/or drinking in your Reserved or Box Seat or pod.

All policies noted above may change, as we all realize the fluidity of the situation.
