Rox jump ahead second day in a row, sweep series from Eau Claire
The Eau Claire Express were looking to avoid their third loss in a row and being swept by the St. Cloud Rox but more errors than runs scored was the story on Friday night as the Express were handed a 6-2 loss at Joe Faber Field.
Brody Rodning pitched 5 innings allowing just 2 runs, both of which came in the first inning.
The Express scored one run each in the third and eighth innings but otherwise failed to get much of a rally going.
Second baseman Kyle Marinconz and catcher Nathan Kruse were bright spots for Eau Claire each collecting three hits. The Express had plenty of chances to score with 10 total hits but stranded 9 men on base.
They now head to Willmar for a 2 game series against the Stingers. First pitch tomorrow is set for 7:05 p.m. where CJ Eldred is set to get the start for Eau Claire.
