Opening Day scheduled for Tuesday, May 30 at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field
Bismarck, ND – The Northwoods League released the Bismarck Larks inaugural season schedule today for the 2017 season. The Larks will open their season at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field on Tuesday, May 30 at 7:35pm against the Eau Claire Express.
“Opening Day is always a nostalgic event in baseball, but our Inaugural Season Opening Day is going to be one to remember,” said John Bollinger, Larks General Manager.
The Larks will open with a four game series to kick off the season ending the home stand with a Friday Fireworks show on June 2. The rest of 2017 home schedule consists of a strong blend of weekday and weekend games from the end of May to the middle of August, with an occasional day game as well.
While each game is important on the field for the Larks this season, Bollinger shared that the front office will focus heavily on selling out their Thursday-Sunday games with a slew of promotions including fireworks, national entertainment acts, premium giveaway items, and more.
The promotional calendar will be announced later this spring, but that hasn’t stopped fans from locking in their seats early. Bollinger shared that since the Larks introduced their 7 game family ticket package, they have already sold over 700. These packages give families guaranteed seats to the best games, food & beverage, giveaway items, flexibility, and more starting at just $15 per ticket.
“The response thus far has been amazing. With only 1600 seats at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field, purchasing a package may be the only way to guarantee seats on Opening Day, major firework nights, etc. for this season,” said Bollinger.
The Larks will play a total of 36 home games at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field each season. Game times typically start at 7:05pm with Fridays starting at 7:35pm due to fireworks, Saturdays starting at 6:05pm, and Sundays rotating between 3:05pm and 5:05pm. A full schedule can be found here.
