After completing one full inning of baseball, lightning lit up the Eau Claire sky and forced a suspension in Monday's game between the Eau Claire Express and Duluth Huskies.

The game was called in the top of the second inning with a man on first base and nobody out. A 1-2 count awaits Duluth shortstop Alex Greene when play resumes tomorrow.

The entire nine innings will be played as the Express and Huskies complete Monday's game, one which the Express are currently up 4-2 in the top of the second. Drew Turbin had a three-run double in the bottom of the first for Eau Claire. This suspended game will resume at 5:05 p.m.

About 30 minutes after that game wraps up, Tuesday's scheduled game will take place, only it will be a seven-inning contest.

Fans who had tickets for Monday's game may use a rain check and get a voucher for an upcoming Express home game.

Fans who have tickets for Tuesday's game may see both games of the doubleheader with the ticket. Gates will open at 4 p.m. for the two contests between the Express and Huskies.
