Rochester Honkers Announce Their 2015 Northwoods League Schedule
Team will play 72 games in 78 days in their 22nd season.

(Rochester, Minn)– The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today their complete game schedule for the 2015 Northwoods League season.  The Five-Time NWL Champions open their 22nd season on Tuesday May 26th, when they host the Mankato MoonDogs for their home opener at 7:05pm.

The Rochester Honkers, a member of the North Division, will play a 72 game schedule in 78 days, beginning at home on May 26th and ending on the road on August 9th.  The first half of the season will be complete at the end of play on Tuesday, June 30th with the second half beginning the following day. The NWL Playoff Series will take place from August 10th through August 15th.  The winners of each division’s two halves will meet in a best-of-three divisional playoff series (August 10-12) with the winners advancing to the Summer Collegiate World Series (August 13-15), also a best-of-three.  The Northwoods League’s 21st All-Star Game will take place on July 21st as the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) host the mid-season classic.  The Big League Dreams Showcase event will take place at Warner Park on August 4th, 2015 in Madison, Wis. for its third consecutive year.

The Rochester Honkers 2015 season will see two split double headers with the Waterloo Bucks.  The Honkers will play at home for a 12:05pm day game on June 30th, followed by a night game in Waterloo, Iowa at 7:05pm.  Then on July 29th, a 12:05pm matinee in Waterloo, Iowa with the nightcap at 7:05pm back in Rochester.
Rochester Honkers home games will start at 7:05pm for games Monday through Saturday and Sundays will all start at 1:05pm.  The Honkers will also play two mid-week day games (Tuesday, June 30th and Thursday, July 23rd) both starting at 12:05pm.

General Admission ticket prices for the 2015 will be a flat rate of $7.00/person, with kids 4 and under admitted for free.  The Honkers will also have two reserved sections behind home plate for $8.00/seat. In 1994, the Rochester Honkers General Admission tickets were $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for kids and seniors.

The Rochester Honkers are one of two remaining teams (Wisconsin (Wausau) Woodchucks) from the Northwoods League’s inaugural season of 1994.  The Honkers have won a league high Five NWL Championships: 1994, 1997, 1999, 2006, 2009.
