Honkers Add Two-Way Player.

 (Rochester, Minn.) –  The Rochester Honkers have announced the signing of Alex Baeza, a redshirt freshman from the University of Hawaii.

Baeza is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound infielder and left-handed pitcher from South Jordan, Utah. Baeza has made one start for the Rainbow Warriors this season at the designated hitter spot, where he went 0-for-2.  He has yet to make an appearance on the mound

Baeza attended Jordan High School where he was a second team 5A all-state selection as a junior and senior. As a senior, he hit .325 with 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored. On the mound, Baeza recorded a 3.15 ERA over 46.2 innings and compiled a 4-2 record. During his junior season he hit .341 driving in 22. He threw 60 innings with a 6-2 record with a 2.10 ERA.

Hawaii (5-2) continues their season on March 1, when they host Loyola Marymount for a four-game series at Les Murakami Stadium.
