(Rochester, Minn.) – Rochester Honkers right-handed pitchers Chad Tworek (Keiser) and Josh Ibarra (Concordia Irvine) make appearances on the mound for the North Division in their 2-1 loss to the South Division on Tuesday in the Northwoods League All-Star Game at Homer Stryker Field.

Tworek faced just one batter getting a ground out to end the fifth inning. Ibarra faced two batters in the eighth walking one and striking out the other.

Wisconsin Rapids pitcher Mason McReaken (SIU-Edwardsville) was the winning pitcher for the South. He worked 2/3 scoreless innings.

Madison’s Jake Randa (Northwest Florida State) doubled to center field to bring home a run and put the South up 1-0 in the sixth.

In the eighth, Lakeshore’s Jack Dunn (Northwestern) crushed a home run to extend the South Divisions lead to 2-0.

The North was able to fight back and put a run on the board in the ninth. Eau Claire’s Scott Ogrin (Cal Poly) launched a solo home run of his own to cut the South Division lead to 2-1.

Eau Claire’s Phillip Sikes (New Mexico) took the loss for the North, Sikes faced two batters and gave up one run on two hits.

The Honkers have one more day off Wednesday before returning to action on Thursday. The Honkers will travel to St. Cloud to take on the defending champion Rox at 7:05 p.m.
