RAIN POLICY

Games will rarely be postponed before the game’s original starting time. The Rox have the intention of playing every home game if possible for our fans. Unfortunately, sometimes nature does not have the same plan. It is always best to find rain information on our website www.stcloudrox.com or by following the Rox on Facebook. Remember, the weather varies from city to city and in all likelihood – the Rox will play ball!

If It Is Raining Before The Game

The Rox have every intention of playing each game, even when the weather forecast may be calling for rain. Our ballpark features a knowledgeable grounds crew, tarps for the pitching mound, home plate area, and both bullpens, & a field tarp that is large enough to cover the most important part of the field- the infield. This provides the Rox the best chance to play ball regardless of the amount of rain that might fall prior to a game. The grounds crew will be hard at work to maintain and prepare the field for each and every game. There are many factors and variables that come into play when determining whether a game will be played, including field conditions. Any decisions regarding a delayed start time will be immediately posted on our website www.stcloudrox.com and social media pages.

Rainy Day Terminology

Rain Delay

A rain delay is when the game is officially delayed. Play will continue later in the evening. Tickets cannot be exchanged in the event of a rain delay.

Postponed Game

A postponed game is when a game starts and then is postponed due to inclement weather before a game becomes official. (After the 5th inning if the game is not tied, or after the top of the 5th inning if the home team is ahead)

Rainout

A rainout is when a game never begins and is canceled. When this happens, the game is usually rescheduled into a doubleheader the next time the two teams meet.

Rox Rainout Policy:

If a game is rained out prior to the conclusion of five innings, all tickets for reserved, general admission, & box sections can be redeemed at the Rox Ticket Office for any other game remaining in the regular season with equal or lesser value subject to availability.

If a game is rained out prior to the gates opening, all tickets can be redeemed at the Rox Ticket Office for any game remaining in the regular season with equal or lesser value subject to availability.

If a game is rained out, all Home Plate Club, Diamond View Club and Sky Line Club tickets can be exchanged for reserved tickets and unlimited food/drink vouchers for another game during the regular season in the Rox Ticket Office.

If a game is rained out, the Rox staff will work with each group attending that game on one of the hospitality suites & decks to reschedule for another game during the season.

If the game is shortened due to rain but has been played beyond the required five (5) innings (4-1/2 innings when the home team is in the lead) to make it a complete game, all tickets will be considered used and cannot be redeemed for another game in the Rox Ticket Office.
