Firefighters Night Fundraiser
The St. Cloud Rox are proud to announce plans to host a first-ever “Firefighters Night Fundraiser” during the 2021 season. The game date is set for Tuesday, June 15th at Joe Faber Field. More than “40” St. Cloud Firefighters will take part in this event to help raise much needed funds for the MnFIRE non-profit organization that does so much for our Central Minnesota Fire Heroes as well as the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
The Rox organization will make available many game-related activities for area businesses to Sponsor such as Player Walks, Runs Scored, Home Runs, and Stolen Bases as examples that will be donated to the event charities. There’s also several Rox hospitality packages specifically being designed for the fundraiser to help further support the Firefighters.
“I think every person sees our Firefighters as local Heroes. As Teammates of our Community,” said Jim Loria, Corporate & Community Partnerships Director for the Rox. “Since the first of January, the St. Cloud Firefighters have answered the bell over 2,000 times already for various fire related calls, to assist other First Responders with our citizens in need of special medical attention and for vehicle accidents. The Rox are truly proud to serve as the outlet to help support these brave men and women!”
“On behalf of the St. Cloud Fire Department, I would like to express our gratitude to the Rox organization for giving us a platform to raise money for these great charitable foundations. We are looking forward to a night of great baseball with a community that continually shows our Firefighters tremendous love and support,” said Adam Bondhus, President of the Local 464 St. Cloud Professional Firefighters.
