Waterloo, IA – A pitching duel through the sixth inning bodes too much for the Bucks as they fall to the Alexandria Beetles 5-1 in the two-game series finale at Riverfront Stadium on Friday night.

Tyler Mills (Michigan) hit a pair of two run doubles, one in the seventh inning and one in the ninth, which boosted the Beetles (20-14) lead to 5-1 and the victory.

The Bucks (10-23) were led by Jarod Wagoner (Butler) on the mound who went seven solid innings, giving up only three earned runs off five hits and two walks. Outfielder Phil Keppler (Iowa) guided the offense with a single in three at bats and an RBI.

The Bucks continue their eight-game home stand Friday night at 7:05 PM against the Green Bay Bullfrogs for the start of the second half of the season. Fireworks extravaganza tomorrow night. It’s Maple Lanes and Valley Park Lanes night. Gates will open at 5:30 for happy hour featuring two dollars draws until 6:30. Tickets will be available from Maple Lanes and Valley Park Lanes. Take the shirt off their back night for Jerry’s Kids-MDA where you can purchase a game worn jersey from a Bucks player.
