 The Waterloo Bucks closed out Sunday’s game with a 7-4 win over the Green Bay Bullfrogs.  After suffering two losses in the days prior, the Bucks were looking for a win and got just that.  At the end of the night, they sent the Bullfrogs home, ending the series 1-2.   

Right off the bat, the Bucks took a quick lead in the bottom of the second bringing in three runs.  The Bullfrogs closed the gap in the sixth, scoring two and tried to battle back again in the eighth but fell short by three runs.  The Bucks retaliated with back-to-back innings of hits, scoring two runs in the seventh and two in the eight to capture a solid lead and the victory.  

Hits came from eight Bucks, RF Landon Anderson, CF Willie Argo, 1B Ryan Rieger, LF Pat stover, DH Nick Anderson, 3B Andrew Ewing, SS Chase Jaramillo (pictured) and 2B Tyler Robbins.  2B T. Robbins and SS C. Jaramillo, who went two for three, both had hot nights at the plate, recording doubles and two RBIs a piece. C Jeremy Lucas and 3B A. Ewing both picked up one RBI.  Six Bucks were left stranded on the bases.

On the mound starting pitcher Taylor Massey threw for six innings, giving up two runs and striking out four capturing the win.  Relief pitcher, Matt Grabowski came in for two innings, giving up two runs and striking out one.  In the ninth Luke Putz  struck out two of three outs and was given the save for the game.  Bullfrog’s Joel Delorit was credited with the loss.

Solid defense was played by the Bucks with only one hiccup on the night which was given to 3B A. Ewing.  Two double plays were also executed.
