Waterloo, IA – The Northwoods League has named Waterloo Bucks outfielder Willie Argo as the NWL Player of the Night for his efforts on Saturday, August 7.  The University of Illinois product led the Waterloo Bucks offensively in a 14-9 win over the Battle Creek Bombers.  Argo was 3-for-4 on the night with two runs scored and four RBI.  Argo, a speedy 6’1’’ sophomore, is currently hitting .233 with 21 hits in 27 games. 

The Bucks start a two-game home series versus the Madison Mallards on Monday, August 9.  First pitch is slated for 6:35 pm for both Monday and Tuesday contests.  Gates open at 5:30 pm.  All home and road Bucks games may be heard live on Brite 95.3 KQMG with play-by-play man Brandon Lewis.
