The Waterloo Bucks closed out the 2010 Northwoods League season Monday, August 16 by destroying pitch after pitch the Eau Claire Express tossed.  Pounding out thirteen hits the Bucks claimed a final 11-2 victory over the Express.

Baseballs were flying over the fence as four Bucks cranked five homeruns out.  1B Jake Astor (pictured) lead the team with a powerhouse night going three-for-four pounding out two homers and a double earning three RBIs on the night. CF Willie Argo, LF Pat Stover, and RF Landon Anderson all sent one sailing and earned two RBIs a piece. 3B Brandon Williams earned the final RBI giving the team a total of ten RBIs on the night.  Big hits also came from C Jeremy Lucas, SS Andrew Ewing, 2B Nick Anderson and 3B Brandon Williams.  

Ace starting pitcher Jared Wagoner threw for eight innings giving up two runs off of seven hits.  Ten strikeouts later relief pitcher Matt Grabowski pitched for an out before handing over the ball over to closer Luke Putz.  Putz closed out the game with two strikeouts giving Wagoner the win and sending Eau Claire’s starter Scott Marinier packing with the loss.
