This week we are catching up with former Waterloo Bucks pitcher Ryan Kussmal.  The Chicago White Sox drafted the Fennimore, WI native in the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft.  Kussmaul was also drafted in 2006 by the Florida Marlins in the 42nd round.

This past season Kussmaul spent his time with the  A League Kannapolis Intimedators, while a part of the bullpen Ryan started pitched in a total of 15 innings while appearing in 9 games.  During this time Ryan maintained an impressive 1.29 ERA while he collected a record of 0-0 while striking out 17 batters and walking 3.  After his time in Kannapolis he was called up to Winston-Salem of the Advanced A League, in his time there Ryan pitched in 5 games.  During the 5 games Ryan pitched in a total of 8.2 innings while striking out 9 and walking 4.

Kussmaul played for Waterloo in 2008 where he appeared in 6 games, during his time with the Bucks Kussmaul threw 18.2 innings, struck out 14, and finished with a 0-1 record and a 4.82 ERA.
