Five questions with former Buck Anthony Sambula.

1. What’s your favorite type of pizza?

My favorite pizza has got to be the BBQ pizza from my favorite restaurant in Cleveland called the "Pickwick and Frolic." It has BBQ sauce, bacon, chives, and a bunch of cheese. It’s hands down the best pizza I’ve ever tasted.

2.  What is the best Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever given?

The best Mother’s Day gift I’ve ever given my mom was in the 6th grade. I had just learned how to make cinnamon french toast in my home economics class the week prior so I made it for my ma and gave her some breakfast in bed.

3.  What’s one necessity for you while on the road?

One necessity on the road is my tooth brush. If I don’t have my tooth brush, I could go crazy. I don’t know, maybe that’s weird, but I’m big on the dental hygiene.

4.  What’s the most clutch strikeout of your pitching career?

To be honest, I can’t really say which strikeout of mine was the most clutch. I don’t discriminate against strikeouts. I love them all the same… Haha.

5.  What phrase do you overuse the most?

I asked my buddies what phrase I overuse the most and they said in the dugout I’ll always tell a hitter who got out of the way of a possible hit by pitch ball to "wear it!" They always tell me that it’s easy to say when I’m not the one in the batter’s box…Haha. Which is kind of true now that I think about it.
