This week we are catching up with former Waterloo Bucks outfielder Nathan Hines.  The Colorado Rockies drafted the Murfreesboro, TN native in the 50th round of the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft.

In 2009 Hines played his year in the Advanced Rookie League with the Casper Ghosts, during the year Hines played in 26 games all being starts.  During the season Hines collected a batting average of .279 while hitting 2 doubles, 4 triples and 6 homeruns while driving in 17 RBIs.

This past year Hines started the year with the Tri City Dust Devils of the A league, during that time Nathan played in 51 games hitting .276 with 9 doubles, 4 triple with 16 RBIs. After his time with Tri-City he was then called up to Asheville to play with the Tourists.  During that time he played in 22 games while ending with a batting average of .269.  Along with the solid batting average Hines hit 5 doubles, 1 home run while driving in 11 runs.

Hines played for Waterloo in 2005 where he appeared in 61 games, during his time with the Bucks Nathan collected a .257 average and hit 8 doubles, 1 home run while knocking in 21 runs.
