Waterloo, IA – In a nail biting game the Waterloo Bucks (3-3) defeated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (0-6) 8-7 on an error in the ninth inning.

The Bucks first score of the game took place in fourth inning when Matt Reistetter (C, Hofstra) hit a single. There was an error in center field that propelled Reistetter to second and enabled James Foster (OF, Wofford) to score. But the Bucks weren’t done in the the third inning yet. Later in the inning, Jeff Popick (OF, Mesa St) hit an explosive home run batting in the two runners on base.

The three errors by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters played a vital role in the win for the Bucks. The Bucks were all tied up with the Rafters in the ninth inning with one out when the Rafters made a error on a ball that was again hit by Matt Reistetter. This fatal error for the Rafter propelled James Foster to home for the second time in the game.
