Waterloo, IA- The Waterloo Bucks (3-4) struggled through the second of a two game series vs. the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (1-6). After a narrow victory last night, the Bucks were unable to duplicate their win getting beaten by the Rafters 13-1.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters racked up a staggering fifteen hits compared to only five from your Waterloo Bucks. Brad Douthit (1-1) a LHP from USC pitched an impressive eight innings and only accumulated four hits from the Bucks.

Offensively, the Rafters were also tough for the Bucks to beat. In the first four innings the Rafters racked up tweleve runs including two home runs from Kyle Peterson a junior of Eastern Michigan that batted in three additional runners on top of his runs. Although the Rafters only scored one additional run for the rest of the game, the damaged was done and the Bucks were unable to catch up to the high, early lead.

The Bucks will try to settle the score in tomorrows game Wednesday, June 8 at the renovated Riverfront Stadium. Tomorrows game will be the final game of a five game home stand. The game will begin at 6:35 pm with gates opening at 5 pm. Come cheer on the Bucks as they attempt to turn things around against the Rafters in the final game of their three game series.
