Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that Mike Wisecarver has been named the Young Plumbing & Heating Bucks Player of the Week. Wisecarver, a junior from Nicholls State, has a 1.86 earned run average, 4-0 record, and 36 strikeouts so far this season with Waterloo.

A native of Kenner, Louisiana Wisecarver had a 0.60 earned run average, two wins, and 9 strikeouts this week with the Bucks. In addition, this week Wisecarver, along with three of his teammates, was selected to play in the Northwoods League’s mid-season all-star game.

The Bucks next home game is tonight, July 11 at 6:35 pm. Gates open at 5:30 pm. This game will wrap-up a three-game homestand versus the Eau Claire Express.
