Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that Jeff Popick has been named the Young Plumbing & Heating Bucks Player of the Week. Popick, a junior from Mesa St., has a 2.58 average, 46 hits, and 33 runs batted in so far this season with Waterloo.

A native of Lakewood, Colorado Popick had a .321 average, 9 hits, and 5 runs batted in this week with the Waterloo Bucks. His nine hits included two doubles and two home runs. Popick leads the team in number of home runs with nine.

The Bucks next home game is tonight, Monday, August 1 at 6:35 pm. Gates open at 5:00 pm. This game will wrap up a three game homestand versus the Battle Creek Bombers.
