The 6’1 and 190lb infielder Clint Barmes was born in Vincennes, Indiana.  Clint attended Indiana State University while playing for the Waterloo Bucks in the years 1999-2000.

In the two years Clint played with the Bucks, he had a .263 batting average with 64 hits in 243 at bats.  He had 17 doubles, one triple, and 11 home runs and 56 RBI’s while swiping 27 bases. Clint was in the Colorado Rockies system for quite a few years, and just signed a 2 year deal worth 10.5 Million on Tuesday.

Clint had three requests in finding a new team this winter: he wanted to reunite with Clint Hurdle, he wanted a 2 year deal, and he wanted to play shortstop.  The Pirates were happy they were able to fufill all three of his wants.  Barmes had played for Clint Hurdle back in Colorado, and wanted to reuinte with him for another two seasons.   \"\"
