Today on Day 3 of the 2012 MLB First Year Player Draft, five former Bucks were selected.

\"\"The first was former Buck LF Jeff Popick. Popick was taken in the 16th round with the 498th pick by the Colorado Rockies. Popick played 53 games for the Bucks in 2011, hitting .270 with nine homers and 34 RBIs. He attended Mesa State College where this last season he obliterated the competition, hitting .424 with seven homers, 65 RBIs, and had an on-base percentage of .524.

\"\"The second Buck on Day 3 to go was former CF Willie Argo taken by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 22nd rond with pick number 692. Argo played this last season at the University of Illinois where he hit .318 and showed a lot of speed on the bases, stealing 22 bases in 26 attempts. While with the Bucks over the 2009-2010 seasons, Argo hit for a .219 average in 99 games, stealing 41 bases, good for seventh on the Bucks all-time list.

\"\"With the 889th pick in the 29th round, the Oakland A’s took their second former Buck with LHP Taylor Massey. Massey, a teammate at Dallas Baptist with former Buck Joel Hutter who was drafted earlier, posted a 3.10 ERA with a 9-4 record, striking out 76 in 87 innings this last college season. Massey played for the Bucks in the 2010-2011 seasons, where he put up a 5-4 record in 13 starts, posting an impressive 2.23 ERA and striking out 50 in 76.2 innings.

\"\"The Diamondbacks took the fourth former  Buck of the day with the 933rd pick in the 30th round when they took RHP Chase Stevens. Chase Stevens pitched for the Bucks in 2011, going 5-3 in nine starts, putting up an ERA of 3.00, striking out an impressive 63 in 51 innings, good for 11.12 per nine innings pitched. At Oklahoma State this last season, Stevens put up a 3.22 ERA, going 7-4 and striking out 84 in 67 innings. 

\"\"The final Buck selected in the 2012 draft was former OF Pat Stover, taken with the 1,226nd pick in the 40th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers. This last season at Santa Clara, Stover hit .297 with five homers, 37 RBIs, and stealing a team high 14 bases. As a member of the Bucks in the 2009-2010 seasons, hitting .270 in 70 games with six homers and 31 RBIs. 

These five Bucks join six others drafted on Tuesday for a total of 11 in the entire draft. A list of all drafted Bucks is listed below.

The Bucks are at Willmar for tonight and the next two nights but will return home on Saturday to take on the Duluth Huskies with a first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm.
