The next Buck selected was former shortstop Joel Hutter, taken with the 312th pick of the 10th round by Baltimore. Hutter attended Dallas Baptist University, where this last season he hit .338 with 11 homers and 72 RBIs, the most on his team. Hutter played for the Bucks last season, hitting .236 with 2 homers and 18 RBIs.
In the 12th round with the 383rd pick, former Buck catcher Jeremy Lucas was taken by the Cleveland Indians. With Indiana State this last season, Lucas led his team with a .345 batting average, hitting nine homers with 52 RBIs. He also slugged .540. Lucas played for the Bucks over the 2010-2011 season. Over that time, he hit .294 with five homers and 49 RBIs, while also having an impressive on-base percentage of .405.
With the 438th pick in the 14th round, the Colorado Rockies took former Buck, RHP Shane Broyles. Broyles attended Texas Tech University, where this last season he started five games and made 18 relief appearances, going 2-2 with a 4.42 ERA. For the Bucks last season, Broyles went 2-4 in eight starts, putting up a 4.6 ERA and 54 strikeouts in just 47 innings pitched.
The last Buck selected was former RHP Zach Cooper, in the 15th round with the 488th pick by the Philadelphia Phillies. This last season for Central Michigan, Cooper put up a 2.82 ERA, low on the team, with a 7-5 record. He also had 98 strikeouts in 108.1 innings pitched. While playing for the Bucks in the 2009-2010 seasons, Cooper went 4-8 with a 5.56 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 79.1 innings pitched.
