The Bucks lost their fourth straight game on Wednesday, falling to the Moondogs by a score of 12-3. The Bucks are now 0-5 against the Moondogs this season and have fallen to 1-9 in their last ten games. Over these ten games, the Bucks gave up eight or more runs in eight games and scored four or less runs in seven of them.

This was the final game of the first half of the season. The Bucks finished with a record of 19-16, finishing fourth place in the North Division, nine games out of first place but just a game back of second place. The blue and yellow also finished with the second most runs scored in the whole league (234) but also gave up the second most runs in the league (224).

In this final first half game, the Bucks struggled on both sides of the ball. The Bucks only managed three runs on seven hits. Jason Hockemeyer hit his first home run of the season in the 5th inning and Kevin Kaczmarski drove in a run and scored a run in the 8th to round out the Bucks scoring.

Adam Mott got his second straight start against the Bucks and went 7.2 innings, giving him 14 innings pitched with just four earned runs allowed in those starts. He has gotten wins in both of these starts while striking out 12 with just two walks.

The Bucks struggled again defensively with three errors leading to five unearned runs. Mikey Ramirez got the start for the Bucks, his third of the season. He only managed to go four innings and gave up five earned runs on eight hits. Justin Grijalva came in next and was able to give up just one run over two innings despite walking four Moondog batters. Brett Andrzejewski was the third Bucks pitcher on the night and due to errors gave up no earned runs though four runs were scored against him. A depleted Bucks bullpen had to turn to a position player for pitching for the third time on the season, as Thomas Lindauer came in to pitch the final inning for the Bucks, giving up two runs, one of which was earned.

The Bucks will kick off the second half of the season on Thursday with a home game against the Willmar Stingers. First pitch is set for 6:35 pm and it will be fireworks night at the ballpark. Remember to check out waterloobucks.com for all your latest Bucks information.
