Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League have announced the re-signing of right-handed pitcher, Ryan Doty. Doty is a junior at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and is a native of Dubuque, Iowa. He was with the team earlier this season and had tremendous success.

The righty appeared in seven games and tallied 15.1 innings pitched. In those innings, he gave up just two runs, one earned on nine hits while striking out 18 batters and walking just four. His ERA was sub one at 0.59, which is still good for best on the team. He will join the squad for the remaining seven games of the 2012 regular season.

This past season for the Knights, the hurler appeared in 14 games and made starts in 13 of them. He compiled a 2.86 ERA through 85 innings while striking out 104 batters and giving free passes to only 21. He tallied a 5-5 record and provided five saves out of the bullpen. Those numbers garnered him Second-team-All-Region (Central) as well as First- team All-Conference.

First pitch for all five games is set for 7:05 p.m. They then return to Riverfront Stadium for the final two games of the season against the Mankato MoonDogs.
