The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that third basemen Chesny Young has been named the AKA Services Bucks Player of the Week.  Young, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is currently a sophomore at Mercer University.

Young appeared in six games over the week and hit .560 with nine RBI’s, three triples, and two doubles.  Young’s week was highlighted on Saturday against the Rochester Honkers. He went 5 for 6 with two triples, a double, and four RBI’s.

Young has been a model of consistency this season. Currently, he is in the top three of every major statistical batting category on the team.  Also, he is tied for the Northwoods League lead in triples this season with three.  So far this season, Young is batting .333 with 19 RBI, 26 runs, 9 doubles, and three triples.
