Waterloo, Iowa – The Northwoods League has named Waterloo Bucks third baseman Logan Sherer the NWL Player of the Night for his efforts in Waterloo’s 12-1 win over the Alexandria Blue Anchors on Thursday. The freshman from UNC Charlotte went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, four runs, and six RBI.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Sherer (pronounced SHEER-er) is hitting .385 in three games for the Bucks. Sherer has two doubles and eight RBI on the year.
The Bucks finish their homestand tonight against Alexandria with a 7:05 pm start. After a two-game road trip to face the Eau Claire Express starting Saturday, Waterloo returns home to begin a two-game homestand versus the St. Cloud Rox.
