Waterloo, Iowa – The Northwoods League has announced that five Waterloo Bucks have been named to the 2014 All-Star Game. Those players are Adam Bray, Adam Dian, Pat MacKenzie, Jon McAllister, and Will Sparks.  They will participate in the 2014 NWL All-Star Game that will be played on Tuesday, July 22 at 6:45 p.m. (CST) at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Right-handed pitcher Adam Bray, a junior from South Dakota State University and originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is 3-0 with a 1.39 ERA.  Bray has started six games and has struck out 32 batters in 32.1 innings pitched, while holding opponents to a .168 average.

Adam Dian (pronounced DEE-on), a junior from the University of Pittsburgh and originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is tied for the league lead in saves with 12.  In 16 games and 16.1 innings pitched, Dian has struck out 30 and is holding batters to a .197 average.  Dian owns a 0-1 record with a 2.20 ERA.  This will be Dian’s second consecutive trip to the NWL All-Star Game.

Central Michigan University product Pat MacKenzie has the third best average in the NWL, sporting a .358 mark, and is tied for the league-lead in on-base percentage at .500.  With 14 stolen bases in 30 games, the second baseman has four doubles and 10 RBI.  Originally from Royal Oak, Michigan, MacKenzie owns a .415 slugging percentage.

Jon McAllister of Long Island University ranks fifth in the NWL in batting average with a .344 mark.  Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, McAllister has 13 RBI in 34 games with 12 stolen bases.  An outfielder, McAllister owns a .443 slugging percentage and a .424 on-base percentage.

Outfielder Will Sparks, a junior from the University of Washington and originally from Saratoga, California, is currently second on the team in RBI with 17.  His .305 average ranks third on the squad.  Sparks has two home runs, three doubles, and five stolen bases.
