Waterloo, Iowa – The Northwoods League has named Waterloo Bucks left-handed pitcher Carson McPherson the NWL Pitcher of the Night for his efforts in Waterloo’s 7-0 win over the Kalamazoo Growlers on Friday.  The sophomore from Murray State College completely shut down the Kalamazoo lineup, allowing no runs on four hits and punching out eight Growlers batters in six innings.

With the win, McPherson OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAimproved his record to 2-1.  The Ardmore, Oklahoma native owns a 5.00 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 18 innings.

The Bucks play the Battle Creek Bombers in Battle Creek, Michigan tonight at 6:05 pm CT.  Tonight’s game can be heard online at www.waterloobucks.com with play-by-play announcer Matt Gruemmer.  The Bucks will return home on Monday, June 15 to face the Mankato MoonDogs at 7:05 pm.
