ST. CLOUD, MN.- The St. Cloud Rox built an early 4-0 lead and kept adding to it to defeat the Waterloo Bucks 8-1 on Friday night (June 9) for their seventh straight win.

Michael Busch in his Rox debut sent a ground ball single to right field to get St. Cloud on the board first in the bottom of the second inning. Later in the inning Drew Avans, Mason Mamarella and Cameron Blaquiere contributed to three consecutive RBI singles making it 4-0 Rox after two complete.

Jared Crescentini (0-1) ran his pitch count up to 100 pitches and was taken out after picking his fifth strikeout with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Zach Siggelkow was brought in out of the bullpen and with the bases loaded gave up a bases clearing double to right center gap by Blaquiere.

Aaron Rozek (2-0) gave the Bucks fits striking out a St. Cloud franchise record 13 batters in a single game through only six innings.

The Rox would tack on another run and the Bucks avoided being shutout on an RBI single to right side by Jay Schuyler in the top of the ninth.

Waterloo will try to rebound tomorrow night, June 10 as they wrap a two game series at the Rox starting at 6:05 p.m.
