ST. CLOUD, MN- The Waterloo Bucks (8-4) took an early lead and added onto it to defeat the St. Cloud Rox (9-3) 5-2 thus ending St. Cloud's seven game winning streak on Saturday night (June 10).

The Bucks jumped in front on an RBI groundout by Zach Malis in the top of the first inning. Jake Stevenson (0-1) lasted three innings and was taken out early when he let go a couple walks.

Waterloo tacked onto its lead in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI single up the middle by Deion Thompson. The Bucks weren't don yet though as John Cable bounced an RBI single down the third base line and a wild throw the Rox left fielder Eric Feliz made it 4-0 Bucks.

Going to the bottom of the fifth inning, Hunter Spencer (2-1) set down 10 St. Cloud batters in a row before John Matthews knocked an RBI single to center getting the Rox on the board. A batter later, Luke Manzo brought in another run on an RBI groundout cutting the deficit in half 4-2.

Jay Schuyler answered with an RBI double smoked down the third baseline giving the Bucks a 5-2 advantage. After 5.2 strong innings from Hunter Spencer, the dominant bullpen went the rest of the way for Waterloo including Brandon Downey's (3) third save of the year.

The Bucks continue the Minnesota road trip in Duluth tomorrow, June 11 for the first of a two game series at 3:05 p.m.
