WATERLOO, IOWA- Kyle Leahy (1-0) goes the distance in a complete game effort to help the Waterloo Bucks (11-4) edge the Bismarck Larks (7-8) on Tuesday (June 13) in game one of a day-night doubleheader. The Bucks have won four games ina  row and win the first ever meeting between the two franchises.

The Bucks played small ball early after the leadoff man Korry Howell stole both second and third base, it was up to Keaton Presley to drive him in on an RBI sacrifice fly out.

Waterloo controlled the early 1-0 lead until the top of the fifth when Wyatt Ulrich lined a two out game tying single up the middle but he was thrown out trying to advance to second thus ending the frame.

Presley continued his outstanding game with a leadoff double in the bottom of the sixth inning and he was brought around by a Zach Malis RBI groundout to the right side of the infield putting the Bucks back in front 2-1.

Andy Lalonde (1-1) was fantastic for the Larks although he got the loss in seven innings of only allowing two runs on three hits.

Leahy finished what he started in the top of the ninth with a quick 1-2-3 inning to keep the Bucks in the Northwoods League North Division first place hunt.

The Bucks and Larks are back at it again tonight, June 13 at 6:35 p.m. in the nightcap of the doubleheader at Riverfront Stadium.
