WATERLOO, IOWA- Kyle Leahy tossed his second consecutive complete game as the Waterloo Bucks (16-4) shutout the Thunder Bay Border Cats (7-14) 3-0 for their ninth win in a row.

The Bucks got on the board first via a double steal in the bottom of the third inning allowing Deion Thompson to score. Ian Nelson returned to the lineup picking up right where he left off with an RBI double to right center making it 2-0 Bucks after three innings. Kade Kryzsko (0-1) pitched five solid innings for the Border Cats but was not given any run support.

Waterloo tacked on another run in the bottom of the seventh as Keaton Presley poked an RBI single to right center.

A three run advantage was plenty for Leahy (2-0) who scattered six hits across nine innings and struck out seven batters.

The Bucks host the Border Cats in the series finale at Riverfront Stadium tomorrow night, June 20 at 6:35 p.m. on Tail Waggin' and Twisted Tuesday.
