With runners on the corners and one away in the bottom of the 10th, Waterloo Bucks (6-10) DH Jeff Deimling ripped a first pitch walk-off single right back up the middle to give the Bucks a 4-3 victory over the Mankato Moondogs (10-7).

The Bucks cleared a 3-1 deficit in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI walk by Dawnoven Smith and a game-tying single off the bat of Greg Anderberg. Ryan Gonzalez (2-5), Drue Galassi (2-5, R, 2B), Deion Thompson (2-4, R, RBI), and Anderberg (2-4, RBI) each strung together multi-hit games for Waterloo.

Matthew Perea threw 6.0 strong for Waterloo, allowing just 1 earned run on 6 hits and 2 walks. He only had one punchout on the evening, but a barking slider helped him record 13 whiffs on just 90 pitches. Karl Hirsch earned the win after firing 3.0 shutout relief innings with just 1 hit and 2 strikeouts.

The Bucks and the MoonDogs wrap up their series on Friday evening at 6:35 p.m. as the Bucks celebrate UNI night at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium.
