The Waterloo Bucks (16-45, 6-20) took game one of Wednesday’s series-ending doubleheader with the Bismarck Larks (33-27, 8-16) by a 6-1 final.
Kyle Smith (3-3, SAC, 2 R), Trey Leonard (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI), Angelo Altavilla (2-3, R, 2B, SB, 2 BB), and Dawnoven Smith (2-3, R, BB) each put up multi-hit games for the Bucks.
Ryan Lane (W, 5.0 ip, 1 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 3 K) earned the win on the hill for Waterloo. Jakob Kirman (SV, 4.0 ip, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K) earned his first career Northwoods save by twirling 4.0 scoreless in relief.
The Bucks and the Larks wrap up their series at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday night.
