Patrick Ferguson (1-4, RBI) and Mike Nyisztor (2-4, BB, R, RBI) singled in a run each during the eighth and ninth innings, with Jake Christianson (2-4, R) adding a multi-hit game for Waterloo.
Relievers Jack Dolak (1.1 ip, 3 BB, 2 K), Joey Cardamon (1.0 ip, 2 H, 2 K) and Colin Lacey (1.0 ip, 2 H, BB) combined for 3.1 scoreless frames behind Noah Conlon. Waterloo’s starter took a hard-luck loss after going 5.2 innings of four-run baseball, striking out four while racking up 15 whiffs on 88 pitches.
The Bucks begin a two-gamer with the Thunder Bay Border Cats on Monday at 6:35 p.m. in Waterloo.
