The Waterloo Bucks fell 5-3 at Mankato after getting down 5-0 early on.

Zach Kokoska got Mankato on the board with a leadoff homer in the first. Mankato piled on four more runs in the fourth to go up 5-0.

Bucks had an answer in the fifth with an RBI knock from Charley Hesse. They scored one more in the sixth and seventh, but it wasn’t enough as they fell 5-3.

Deylan Miley earned the win with one earned run in his start. Thomas Bruss picked up the save with a scoreless ninth. Waterloo’s starter Nolan Meredith took the loss with three earned runs in three innings.

The Bucks continue on the road with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch tomorrow in St. Cloud.
